Updates from Young Adult and Campus Ministries
Grants Available
Did you know that The Episcopal Church Young Adult and Campus Ministries has grants available to help your church or diocese expand its outreach to nearby college, military, and non-college young adults? The grants are intended to provide funding for an Episcopal ministry (or ecumenical ministry with an Episcopal presence) in a diocese, congregation, or college/university that is currently engaging in or seeking a new relationship with young adults on and off college campuses. There are 4 grants, which award between $1,000 and $8,000 per award! Learn more at their website. The application deadline is quickly approaching: November 13, 2023. So don't delay!
The Vinery
Have you heard of the Vinery? The Diocese of Washington has! It is partnering with the Vinery this year. The Vinery is a fairly new initiative funded by the Lilly Endowment that seeks to be "an incubator for thriving congregations ministering faithfully and effectively with young adults and other members of nearby universities and supporting vibrant local communities. The Vinery cultivates dynamic learning cohorts of congregations located in close proximity to universities and helps them remember their calling to ministry with students and other members of universities as a part of their total ministry in the world." To learn more and to apply to join, go to their website. (Maybe apply for a YACM--see above--to join the Vinery!)
