Take a seat at the table: consider serving on a church-wide committee
Have you ever wondered how someone ends up serving as a trustee of General Theological Seminary, or as a reader for the General Board of Examining Chaplains, or any other church-wide body of the church? They nominate themselves or someone else nominates them because they are convinced they have the skills needed and are called to minister. Its not too soon to be thinking about how you can serve the church with elections of new members for committees upcoming at General Convention in 2024.
